G&K Sushi 101 Event Takes Team Building To A New Level

Gidel & Kocal Construction were enlightened this past fall when the group learned how to make sushi like a pro during a team building event. Over 40 Participants signed up for a sushi making class hosted by President Lance Gidel and held at Sushi Confidential in Campbell, CA.

According to Executive Chef Sushi Randy, “Sushi Making Class will bring your staff closer together in a safe and appropriate environment!” The G&K team split up into three cohesive teams  - Cleverly named teams like “G1 aka GIDEL1”, “Red Hot Tuna” and “Just Roll With It” and worked together alongside each team's master sushi chef to perfect their own sushi rolls as a delicious and fun lunchtime treat.

Sushi Randy has earned a solid reputation for hosting hands on sushi classes as well as catering to Bay Area, including San Jose and Silicon Valley's Fortune 500 businesses.

The teams learned skills that not only brought them closer together, but an experience that they can use the rest of their lives. They used fresh salmon, seaweed, tuna, avocado and sweet potato to enhance the look and taste of their rolls, along with asian culinary tools to shape and present their work of art.

The class got heated up after their rolls were competed for best platter and “judges” rated each team’s sushi on presentation, creativity and verbal description!
